Over the past 30 years, as a long-time rodeo fan and competitor in horse-related sports such as hunter, jumpers and dressage, I have met many, many Animal Activists. I have always smiled at them and laughed out loud to myself, as the majority of these people are pretty clueless about not only rodeo or equine/livestock sports events, but downright ignorant in claims they make about animal intelligence, feelings and souls.

The web site that I maintain, The Harry Rowell Family – A Rodeo Legacy, is the story of my husband’s family’s rodeo history and has nothing to do with Animal Rights or Activism. Steve Hindi and Pat Vinet, both of whom I do not know, posted messages in my guest book with links to their websites that basically stated that Linda Burdick and Friends of Rodeo were cruel to animals, liars, and thugs. I am familiar with Linda Burdick and her organization, Friends of Rodeo, which supports and educates people about the sport of rodeo and the history of America’s Western Heritage. Linda Burdick is far from being cruel to animals and has been in the rodeo business since she was a child, and grew up on a working ranch.

This drive-by guest book posting was out of line and done with obvious malice. I sent an email back to Hindi sarcastically thanking him for using my web site as a forum to trash rodeo people and to quit acting like the terrorists and whack-job activists like Michael Moore.

Now bear in mind that my take on these Animal Rights Activists, aka thugs, is that they could careless about animals, and that their objective is to pick fights and get attention, thus the narcissism. So as a result of their drive-by guest book posting, I decided to bait these people to determine whether their objective is Animal Rights or harrassment. I did so by sending an email that sounded like I was just like them. In other words I sent them some pretty baseless emails. And guess what, they bit and bit big time. I received nasty, vicious emails from Pat Vinet and her husband Richard Vinet as well as Hindi, who I later found out from internet research is a convicted criminal. They also copied their emails to Linda Burdick and people at the PRCA in order incite a email riot. Obviously these people have nothing better to do than to surf the internet, harass web sites that they don’t like, and then harass people with email. My encounter with them proved what I have believed about Animal Activists all along. Their objective is not Animal Rights, but fulfilling some void in their obvious narcissist personality along with inciting malice.

I was amazed at the attention that they placed upon me. The attention I received from them was absolutely entertaining. I wonder how productive they would be if they showered that much attention on the care the animals that they claim to protect. Obviously no one of any importance has ever responded to their vicious, baseless emails, and the fact that I baited them, just made them go berserk. The notoriety that Hindi, the Vinets and their ogranization bestowed upon me was unbelieveable. They even put me on their email list to receive emails about their upcoming criminal activities and invite little old me to their press conferences. All this attention that I received just proves that their objective is not Animal Rights', but picking fights and harassing people. Hindi's criminal activities are proof positive of his intentions.

Having a legal and history background, I did some research on all three of these narcissist individuals and came up with some not-so-surprising information all of them, which you can browse through. I have also posted here some information on rodeo and some of the Animal Activists’ myths about the sport. The ranting's that these Michael Moore’s of the Animal Rights Party hysterically claim and endlessly repeat are completely unfounded. Furthermore, their methods of protesting are vicious and border on the edge of defamation. They also do things like sneaking into rodeo events with hidden cameras to get video footage that will eventually be edited to support their wild claims. Bringing video cameras into any sports event is prohibited. But since Hindi has already been convicted of criminal activities and seems to believe that laws are not for him, he continues to break rules in order to go "hunting" for video footage that he can cut and paste to meet his ends.
